Amrita Rao may seem to be a simple and naive girl on the surface, but the actress has been recently accused of hiding her sister Preeta from the media.Amrita Rao is a Cool teen Icon and she is a rising star. The fact came to light when a national magazine ran an item on Prita, stating that she is into modelling.
That's when we tried to contact Prita, and came up against a baffling story. We were categorically told that Prita was Amrita's younger sister. “Amrita and I are not twins,” said Prita. “We look different. She is two-and-a-half years older than me.” Meanwhile a Connosa Convent, Mahim, classmate of Amrita and Prita gave us this (see pic on this page) class VII-A photograph, where both Amrita (third row) and Prita (first row) can be seen.
At school, the two sisters were apparently quite a rage. A classmate says, “We always got confused between Amrita and Prita because both of them looked so similar. Among the twins, Prita was more reserved, while Amrita was outgoing. Amrita was very different from her present goody-goody image. She wore short skirts and moved among the hip crowds.”
Amrita has also openly denied that she has a twin sister and claims that she has a younger sister, but her college friends and professors have a different story to share; according to them Amrita has a twin sister, but they are not identical and the actress forced Preeta not to pursue modeling and maintain a low key profile. We hope that Amrita finally realizes that there is room for everyone in Bollywood and she stops bragging her “Main Sirf Hoon Na” attitude.

Nonsense. I was their classmate in school too. Both of them were in my class. I have so many more classmates who can vouch for that! They are twins!! I have no idea why this is being proven as a rumour and all. Why be ashamed of having a twin sister?? I'd be really pissed if I were Preeta.
